When I lived in Montgomery my neighbors were two of the greatest people on this planet. Every year they would travel up to the Smokey Mountains to enjoy the bright colors of the Autumn leaves and the refreshing break from the extremely hot Summers here in central Alabama. One year Joe brought back a black and white snap shot of this old black bear with a hump on his nose and told me about how they would see this bear every year in the same area. For Christmas I did this painting for Joe and Edna, and years later when they passed away their family asked me if I would like to have it to remember them by.

"Danny's Dream"

18 X 24 Acrylic on Illustration Board

This is one of my favorite paintings and it came to life after a conversation I had with a long time friend. He told me about this strange dream he had and the more I listened the more the imagery stuck in my head. Even after I actually painted my interpretation of his vision, I still get a haunting feeling form the story.
